Sefton Meadows Garden & Home Centre

Sefton meadows began in 1988 with one building selling plants and compost and a small nursery. Developed and added to over the years, I now has several departments over 4 1/2 acres. This garden centre continues to grow, with new innovations all the time - a large extension to the nursery is currently underway.

This thriving family business has both open and covered areas, with all walkways under cover. It is renowned for its seasonal displays. In summer and spring there are barbecue displays on a large patio, with demonstrations on the best barbecue to buy for the size of your garden, the kinds of meals you'd like to prepare outdoors, and how much you'd like to spend. Other demonstrations by knowledgeable staff feature tips on flower arranging, preparing hanging baskets and much more.

From mid-October until December sefton meadows hosts its superb Christmas promotion, with fully animated grotto and displays covering over 7,000 square feet of floor space. There is a large range of marine fish on offer, accompanied by expert advice in the specialist pets and aquatics centre. Here are also sold pond fish, with a speciality of large Koi carp. Pets available include rabbits, hamsters and other small domestic animals, as well as a great variety of exotic birds. winner of the diamond award at the Southport flower show for landscaping and design, this garden centre stocks a superb range of trees, shrubs and flowering and foliage plants, as well as a selection of gardening tools and implements.

The onsite coffee shop serves hot and cold snacks, lunches and teas in relaxed and attractive surroundings. There's also a comprehensive gift shop.
